Motor City Brewing Works has a long history of supporting the arts and culture in Detroit. We have collaborated in co-sponsoring local events like Dally in the Alley, kegs of beer at one of many independent art galleries, employing artists and musicians, and supporting the local and sometimes unsung heroes of Detroit.

This Week In Art (TWIA) was initiated by Detroit artist Graem Whyte to showcase local talent and offer a unique setting for artists to display their work. These one-night exhibitions (7 PM to 10 PM) offer a venue for artists of all experience levels with an opportunity that might not otherwise exist. We are grateful to continue this 20-year incentive.
We hang temporary “walls” in the back of our brewery taproom, adjacent to the kitchen area. Three 4’ x 8’ sheets of plywood are used by artists to display their work for sale or exhibition at no cost to the artist. Please note that the artist is responsible for acquisitions.
We accept submissions year-round for interested artists to show their work, curate a group show, or curate a series of related shows.
